Connaught Heights Pentecostal Assembly – PHASE 3 BC’S rESTART PLAN
This week we received the great news that we have now entered stage 3 of the BC Restart Plan, which includes the easing of restrictions associated with religious gatherings! This means anyone who wants to attend the service can come, and no pre registering is required!
As an added bonus, we are free to take our masks off and sing to our hearts content! However, as per the PHO masks are still “recommended for those 12 and over who are not yet fully vaccinated.” For the present time volunteers and staff will wear masks when greeting all who attend.
While we are able to ease the physical distancing rules, please understand that not everyone will feel comfortable giving a hug or shaking your hand. Please be respectful of everyone’s personal space.
With that in mind, we will be recommending that everyone use hand sanitizer or wash your hands upon entering the building. It would be wise to do so upon leaving as well. Again, if you are not feeling well on Sunday, we would ask that you stay home and watch the service on-line. Yes, our on-line services will remain a part of our Sunday experience.
This Sunday we will be celebrating the communion service, but because we are not yet ready to pass the communion plates around, we will have prepackaged communion cups available in the foyer for you to bring to your seat.
Speaking of seats, we no longer need to assign seating, so you will be free to sit in whatever section you would like.
To ensure your safety in the weeks moving forward, we will continue to sanitize the building.
The nursery will be available to those who wish to use it. However, it will be unsupervised and up to each parent to sanitize the toys their child(ren) play with (spray cleaner will be provided).
We understand that not everyone is ready to return, but please know that we will be here to welcome you when you do!
Sincerely,
Pastor Dan Eagle

Connaught Heights Pentecostal Assembly – COVID-19 Update
Beginning on May 30, 2021 we will be inviting you to attend an Indoor Worship Service (as permitted by the present Health Order). An online service will continue to be posted on YouTube and in Sermons.
The service will be limited to 50 people (including volunteers) and everyone will be required to pre-register here or by calling the church office (604-526-5505).
You will be given your seating assignment when you arrive. You will be required to wear your mask for the entire service.
As a church we recognize our responsibility to do our best to reduce the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19 for all who enter the church building or attend church functions. Therefore, the church leadership has developed an Action Plan in an effort to keep everyone safe and to comply with the guidelines provided by the Provincial Health Officer, the Province of BC and WorkSafe BC.
Here are some highlights:
We would ask that individuals displaying any symptoms of COVID-19; such as, fever, chills, new or worsening cough, runny nose, sneezing etc. would remain home as we cannot permit anyone with such symptoms to attend the service.
Names of those attending will be recorded as per contact tracing protocols.
We will only share this information should we receive a call from the health authority. Physical distancing is required at all times.
We ask that you refrain from hugging one another or shaking hands. Introverts rejoice.
Those attending the service will be required to use hand-sanitizer and to wear a mask throughout the service.
There will be no congregational singing and those attending are asked disperse immediately after the service.
The Action Plan is available here for reference.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these matters. We are in this together.

Connaught Heights Pentecostal Assembly – COVID-19 Update
Dear Connaught Heights family,
In light of the BC government’s mandate on Monday, March 16 limiting mass gatherings to 50 people, we have decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest to cancel our services at the church for the next few weeks. We will however be moving to an on-line model that will allow you to watch the sermon on your computer, tablet or phone. We are working on the details and will let you know how to do this before the end of the week.
Yesterday the King of Kings church in Jerusalem asked for prayer because their government has restricted gatherings to 10 people per room. And although we have not yet been given the same restriction here in Canada, we think it is best to suspend all of our ‘in person’ gatherings at this time in an effort to minimize any risk to our congregation and community. Thank you for your understanding and support.
As believers we have a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate how faith, love, and wisdom can impact how we act and react to this crisis! I have been praying that God will protect all of us and allow us to experience His peace in the midst of all this change. I have a few ideas that may help.
In the next few days, I am planning on launching ‘Devotions with Dan’, a 15 minute devotional thought to help us all connect with each other. I may just do this through Facebook for now, but perhaps it is something we could add to our website.
I am also looking for a few people who would be willing to phone or text some people as a ‘check-in’ to make sure everyone is alright. If we have enough people, we could assign each person 5 or 6 people to contact. We could pray for each other, encourage each other and maybe even pick up eggs or bread for those who cannot get out. This could be a powerful way for us to care for each other! But in order for it to work, I will need your help! If you are interested, please e-mail the office: officechpa@gmail.com.
Here is a good website if you are looking for information regarding the Coronavirus - Canada.ca/coronavirus.
